One screen, with touch screen capabilities and functionality delivers the latest updates of all your friends right there where you need it – seamlessly, effortlessly right from all three services. When you want to reply you can have it set so that your reply goes out to Facebook and Twitter at the same time, keeping all your contacts updated on your status. Perfect for when you want to set your status as “not available” for instance. Ergonomically speaking, it’s a really nice design with a rubberised chassis that sits well in your hand and provides good access to the controls you need. There are only 6 physical buttons on the Desire phone form HTC – four of which are situated on the front lower half – the usual buttons you expect on an Android phone – Home, Menu, Back and Search. There is also the optical terminator style trackpad in the center that functions as an Enter key when clicked. On the top is the power button and 3.5mm headphone jack socket and on the side is the up/down button, mounted flush to the chassis. The power button also provides the means to lock the phone when it is stored away – this is handy especially when the screen is a touch screen and the trackpad functions as the camera and as the Enter key. At the base of the camera is a micro USB slot to allow for pc connectivity, and also helps to keep dust out of the device.
